The graphic used on this shirt jacket is the famous Tshirts favored by the members of “THE CLASH” back in the 70's, and has been used on countless bootleg products all over the world.

An original condition Tshirts was unearthed in Don Letts' archival warehouse,  it was discovered that the graphic was designed by Don Letts himself.

It is not too much to say that a new history has been unraveled this time, as it has been recognized among fans around the world that the graphic was created for MIKEY DREAD, a Jamaican artist who produced the reggae period of THE CLASH.

We thought it should be released officially by REBEL DREAD HARDWARE.

Even if you don’t have the knowledge about its scene, you can feel the freshness and culture in this adorable item.

このグラフィックは、70年代当時THE CLASHのメンバー達が好んで着用していたTshirtsに使用されたもので、世界中で数え切れない程のブートレグ商品が生み出されました。

当時のオリジナルコンディションのTshirtsがドン・レッツのアーカイブ倉庫から発掘され、このグラフィックはドン本人がデザインしたものであることがわかりました。
世界中のファンの間では、THE CLASHのレゲエ期をプロデュースしたMIKEY DREADというジャマイカンアーティストの為のグラフィックであると認識されており、今回新たな歴史が紐解かれたと言っても過言ではないと思います。ならば、REBEL DREAD HARDWAREからオフィシャルで現代に甦らせたいと考えました。
THE CLASHやそのシーンのファンでなくとも、新鮮にカルチャーを感じれるなんとも愛らしいアイテムに仕上がっています。
